Eurovision Australia

Australia will participate Eurovision Song Contest with their very own entry, EBU announced today. Australia will also be able to vote in the semi-finals and final just like every other country. It is yet to be disclosed whether only jury will be used or if the audience will get to vote as well.

However, the Australian broadcaster SBS has organized their own unofficial Eurovision voting online when the shows have been aired Down Under. The Australians did agree with the winner in 2012, 2013 and 2014 but in 2011 they completely disagreed; Azerbaijan was voted last while Jedward, representing Ireland, was their number one favorite!

Loreen, Emmelie de Forest and Conchita Wurst were all favorites also in Australia. The results of the 2014 voting can be found below with the actual Eurovision results, as voted by Europeans, in brackets. The semi-final results can be found here.

1. Austria 74,434 points (1.)
