In the early hours of this morning (1.25am to be precise) John and Edward tweeted that they were now on Tumblr.

If you’re not familiar with Tumblr, it’s a microblogging and social networking site.  Users post multimedia and other content (John and Edward have posted in every category), and followers “heart” and “reblog”.  This gives the posts “notes”.  So far the twins are doing very well, with 271 (at last count) notes on their initial post.

Wikipedia says, “The service is most popular with the teen and college-aged user segments with half of Tumblr’s visitor base being under the age of 25”.  Which of course means the other half is over 25…so people of all ages can and do use it.  Tumblr is a useful tool for spreading pics and information about celebrities and fandoms, so for Jedward to have an actual official presence on there is a very good…
