It was a star-studded evening at the BBC last night, with everyone pulling together to raise money for the national broadcaster’s children’s charity, “Children in Need”.
Ellie Goulding performed this year’s official single, “How Long Will I Love You”, details of which are available here.
The night was screened from both Television Centre London, and Elstree Studios on the Eastenders set, with the cast of that programme performing a massive song and dance number to Daft Punk’s “Get Lucky”. The Queen Vic itself served as the “green room”, and played host to McBusted, One Direction, Tinie Tempah, JLS, Ellie Goulding and Jedward, among others.
The Dublin Duo caused a stir when they appeared on stage with Ylvis for their first UK performance of “The Fox (What Does the Fox Say)”. They later popped up briefly with the cast from hit Westend Show, “Spamalot”, as well as an impromptu takeover of @bbccin’s twitter feed late in the night.
The programme raised over £31 million, with further donations expected during the next few weeks. Details on how to donate can be found on the charity’s website.
